TO IPAD OR NOT TO IPAD?

We’re not an Ipad-y family..

It’s not that I’m dead set against them and of course we do have them. They come out in full force on the aeroplane and we couldn’t do a long journey without them, but we just never ever remember to charge them up at home. The kids don’t seem to ask for them or care really, they play with their toys and with each other, but last week they both asked me to plug them in. Continue reading

NEXT BEST THINGS

…i’ve saved you the hassle and searched through that giant next catalogue to find all the best bIts for spring 🙂

This dress. It looked absolutely awful on the website and in the store amongst rails of cartoon emblazoned, fuschia and cheap (looking) sparkly knitted jumpers. I had a sneaky suspicion it would look entirely different at home Continue reading

SEPTEMBER GREY: MY INSTA SOUL SISTER

Instagram is wonderful. I find inspiration in those little squares every day. It’s a way of seeking out and connecting with people who have similar interests and style, wherever you are in the world. From interiors to travel tips, craft ideas and recipes. I’m constantly being inspired on insta.

I love how you can pick and choose what your IG feed represents. Personally, Continue reading

LOOK WHAT I FOUND

..the perfect every day Mary Janes

I haven’t posted on here for SO long, life has just been getting in the way. I’ve also recently joined a book club and I’m under pressure to finish (start) the book in my precious evenings which have been totally hijacked my Rupert who refuses to go to bed at the mo. But that’s another boring story!

Anyway, I’m still finding lots of lovely bits and bobs for your (and my) little ones so just had to quickly share these beauties.   Continue reading

TIS THE SEASON TO BE JOLLY

..Isn’t it?! So BE jolly kids or santa will bring you nothing but a sack of coal.

Don’t laugh (or judge), I have lost count of the number of Father Christmas threats I have used already this month..

I adore Christmas. I actually love the whole of December. Despite being Jewish, I get so swept up in the magic of it. The mulled wine (drunk copiously because it’s hot and therefore not alcoholic), stollen, festive shop windows, nativities and tinny Christmas tunes everywhere you go. Love. it.all. Having kids just makes Christmas so much more special right? Right. But it’s not all merry and jolly and bright.. at least not in our household. Continue reading

BLACK FRIDAY FOR THE BOYS

My (rather belated) winter wardrobe for your little fellas 0-3 ish..

Life is getting in the way of this blogging malarkey at the moment, which is annoying me because I love doing it. I just always seem to be tied up with.. I don’t know what! Before I know it, the day is done and I have nothing to show for it, except a bit of a headache and a snot encrusted shoulder. So glamorous being a mum isn’t it? By 8.10am, I’ve usually been to my wits end and back again. Having literally pushed Continue reading

#HIPMINI HOME

So. I know I’ve been going on about La Redoute recently, but it’s hard to resist 40% off when stuff is just SO cute..

I have to share some of their gorgeous pieces for the home. Then I will stop.

I am a bit obsessed with baskets.. our whole house is slowly being filtered into baskets of different shapes and sizes, from Rupert’s cars and Hattie’s hama bead collection to my husband’s (many) phone chargers and my hairbrushes! It’s a really good way to keep things organised (I am not organised) and our possessions look so much nicer compartmentalised into pretty little baskets. 🙂 I’m definitely becoming a bit crazy though and almost wept a little when Ikea Continue reading

MARIE CHANTAL FOR M&S

I’ve always been in love with Marie Chantal’s beautiful childrenswear. But it’s just too expensive. I could never bring myself to spend £100 on one item that will fit for 6 months at best. That’s why this collaboration with Marks and Spencers is just SO good. It’s not huge but there are a few lovely, classic, simple and sweet outfits at M&S prices.

It’s crazy how much children’s fashion has changed since I had Hattie. This just would never have happened 5 years ago. The rails in M&S were full of dowdy applique dresses in primary colours or that yucky pink. They have seriously upped their game! Hurrah and bravo (as Hattie would say) 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻  Continue reading

TOASTY TOTS

Make sure your toddlers are wrapped up in the cutest winter wardrobe..

Helloo! I’ve been busy busy busy with the gang over half term but I’ve so enjoyed having some real time all together and I’ve loved getting everyone dressed in their autumny/ wintery clothes every day – I’m such a saddo.

I think by now you all know the winter style I love for my littlies.. ribbed tights in earthy colours, chunky knitwear, velvet, cord or knitted bloomers and collars..(Peter pan, frilled, roll neck any collar will do!) Easy peasy if you’re shopping in Caramel Baby and Child.. but if you don’t have thousands (literally) to blow on clothes that your kids will grow out of, I’ve done my usual sweep of more affordable shops and brands to bring you the same look for a lot, lot less. Continue reading
