The sun’ll come out tomorrow..Hattie is singing those very words as I write this. The sun has been coming in and out like a jack-in-a-box and thankfully Hipministyle has summer style sewn up. Today it’s boys, 0-3yrs.. Continue reading

LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE

Get your babes ready for the beach with my picks of the loveliest summer clothes

I’ve been banging on about it for ages, but now is the time to shop for summer! Especially since we seem to be having a bit of a heatwave.

My go-to style for baby girls in the sun, Continue reading

Get the look: be as changeable as the weather

So, when I left the house this morning it was a cold, damp day and was forecast to stay that way. But by midday, the sun was shining and it’s actually quite hot. Rupert’s little outfit is perfect for days like today. Summer staples that can be layered up or stripped off! Shop the look below Continue reading

THE SUN HAS GOT HIS HAT ON

Hip hip hooray! Now let’s make sure your little ones have got their hats on too..

Sun hats are really quite tricky. They need to tick a number of boxes. They have to be protective, they have to stay on on windy days and they have to look cute too, obviously.

#thriftythursday : sweet stripes

How cute is this little ensemble?!

You’re thinking its a Petit Bateau £45-er right? Nope, it’s £17.99 from HM!

I was dubious about the quality but I was so pleasantly surprised when it arrived today that i thought it deserved a little mention on here.

Made from really soft, light knitted organic cotton. It’s quite big so I’d be tempted to size down. (Obviously I’m keeping this size to stash away and will get the size down to wear now. And Yes my husband does hate me, thankfully he doesn’t read my posts!!)

Anyway, if you have a little boy (or girl) get it. It’s gorgeous for tiny babies and also for toddlers too as the 12-18 month I just bought is big enough for an average two year old!

Striped knitted top and bottoms £17.99

You’re welcome!

Sarah xx

Isn’t she lovely

Dressing down..Comfy and casual day to day wear for new baby girls.

A baby girl. An exciting world of  beautiful dresses and bloomers and rompers. You buy them all (quite rightly), and they are all exquisite. But more often than not they stay hanging in your baby’s room looking gorgeous. Because the reality is that at this age, most days your baby just needs to be in soft, comfortable clothes not in tights and a dress or knitted bloomers. However beautiful they are. Trust me I know how beautiful they are.  Continue reading

Make a splash

Stylish (and reasonable) kids’ swimwear is so hard to come by in the UK.

We’re lucky enough to spend time in Spain so I tend to buy it all over there. The Spanish are in a different league when it comes to dressing little ones and their swimwear is something else. Beautiful prints and fabrics, beautiful shapes, stores dedicated to the sweetest sibling swimwear (and it’s so inexpensive.)

One day I will find a way to bring all of this stuff over to the UK. But in the meantime, I have hunted around for the best that you can get Continue reading

BOY OH BOY

How I dress my toddler boy

I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the realm of baby boys’ clothes when Rupert was born. I think boys can be a lot more casual than girls without looking scruffy. Plus you can have a bit more fun with motifs and things (never with colours. I avoid orange and green at all costs.)

Rupert’s daily uniform is a loose, collarless shirt or henley long sleeve tee with comfortable harem joggers or soft cords. He doesn’t have any jeans and I don’t see the need for them. Especially while he’s crawling and climbing so much. Continue reading
